University Of Media, Arts and Communication is seeking the services of qualified, experienced and hardworking individuals for the position of a Security Guard. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure campus environment. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a team and collaborate effectively. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;
Responsibilities
· The candidate will conduct regular patrols and monitor entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access.
· The candidate will conduct Surveillance and Monitoring by observing security cameras, performing routine security checks, and promptly reporting any security breaches or suspicious activities.
· The candidate will be responsible for responding to emergencies and assisting students, staff, and visitors to comply with university rules and regulations.
· The candidate will report incidents and maintain accurate daily security logs, assisting law enforcement agencies with investigations when required.
· The candidate will be responsible for providing security during campus events, gatherings, and sporting activities to ensure orderly conduct and safety.
· The candidate will carry out facility inspections by conducting routine checks on buildings, doors, windows, and other facilities, reporting security concerns or maintenance issues.
Qualification
· A Ghanaian citizen
· Possess a minimum certificate of WASSCE or its equivalent.
· 18 years or above and not more than 35 years as of 31st March 2025.
· At least 5 feet 8 inches (173cm) tall.
· Physically and medically fit to undergo rigorous training.
· Competencies and Skills
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively.
· Problem-solving skills, along with the ability to de-escalate situations and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
