The role of a Research Associate is paramount to driving CUTS’ cutting-edge studies, generating insightful data, and supporting the evidence-based advocacy need of the organization. The ideal candidate will be at the heart of our research initiatives and contributions will directly help generate the evidence required for informing policy for inclusive growth. As follows are the responsibilities and qualification for the position;
Responsibilities
· The candidate will be responsible for designing and conducting research studies
· The candidate will collect, analyze and interpret data using statistical techniques
· The candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting research finding in written and oral formats
· The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed records of research activities and results
· The candidate will assist in the preparation of grant applications and funding proposals
· The candidate will conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis
· The candidate will be responsible for translating research report into advocacy tools and engage the media on the same
· The candidate must ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements
· The candidate must ensure coordination with external stakeholders
· The candidate will be responsible for performing other administrative and programmatic roles
Qualification
· Master’s in Economics (MA, MSc, or MPhil) or MA in international Trade Law or a relevant masters
· Minimum of three years of working experience
· Strong understanding of international trade, competition policy, and consumer protection among others as well as ability to offer actionable insights
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical software
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams
