Job Profile:

As a Logistics Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting the overall logistics operations of the company. You will work closely with the Logistics Manager and other team members to ensure the smooth flow of goods, timely deliveries, and efficient supply chain management. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to develop their skills in logistics and supply chain management in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Main Duties:

  • Assists in planning and coordinating transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to optimise logistics processes.
  • Provides administrative support to the Logistics Manager, including scheduling, reporting, and documentation.
  • Helps negotiate contracts and service agreements with transport/logistics providers to ensure cost-effective solutions and service quality.
  • Provides all required documentation to support the source, quality and handling of commodities for local sales and exports.
  • Directs, optimises and coordinates full order cycles from sourcing to delivery.
  • Liaises and negotiates with suppliers, manufacturers, transporters and customers.
  • Keeps track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs.
  • Arranges warehouses, catalogs goods, plans routes and processes shipments.
  • Develops excellent relationships with commodity supply and logistics partners.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience or internship in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of logistics processes, transportation modes, and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with data to make informed decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
