The KPMG IT Audit Associate role offers an exciting opportunity to build a career at the intersection of technology, risk, and assurance. As an IT Audit Associate, you will work alongside experienced professionals to assess technology environments, evaluate IT controls, support digital transformation initiatives, and help organizations manage technology-related risks in an increasingly complex business landscape. As an Associate in IT Audit, you will support audit and assurance engagements by evaluating IT controls, assessing the reliability of system-generated information, and performing data analytics to support audit procedures. You will test automated controls, test general IT controls, conduct data extraction and analysis, and support technology-enabled audit activities such as Journal Entry Analysis. Working closely with engagement teams and clients, you will contribute to the timely delivery of high-quality audit engagements while developing your expertise in IT risk, controls, and data-driven assurance. Job Details

Role responsibilities

·       Assess automated application controls and evaluate the reliability of information produced by IT systems and used in business processes. 

·       Perform testing of general IT controls, including user access management, privileged access, change management, IT operations and related controls. 

·       Perform data extraction, transformation and analytics to support financial statement audits and other assurance engagements. 

·       Support journal entry analysis and other technology-enabled audit procedures. 

·       Work collaboratively with engagement teams and clients to deliver assignments within agreed timelines

Requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Accounting Information Systems, Business Administration or related discipline.

·       Relevant internship or national service experience in IT audit, technology risk, cybersecurity, data analytics or related areas would be an advantage.

·       Progress towards relevant professional certifications such as CISA or ACCA/ ICA certifications would be an advantage.

·       Basic understanding of general IT controls, application controls and IT risk concepts

·       Good data analytics and Microsoft Excel skills; knowledge of SQL, Power BI or similar tools is an advantage.

·       Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

·       Good written and verbal communication skills.

·       Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

·       Ability to work effectively in teams and manage multiple assignments.

·       Demonstrates professional skepticism, integrity and willingness to learn.
