Professional Support Services Ghana is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking, and experienced individuals for the position of a Finance Officer. The ideal candidate will manage customer invoicing and receivables by preparing invoices, maintaining records, and supporting follow-ups on overdue balances. The successful candidate must have previous experience as a Finance Assistant or in a similar role. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;
Responsibilities
· Manage customer invoicing and receivables by preparing invoices, maintaining records, and supporting follow-ups on overdue balances.
· Support payables and expense management by tracking vendor invoices, updating expense records, and assisting with routine payments.
· Work closely with Operations and Business Development teams to resolve customer invoicing and billing issues.
· Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records, including proper filing of supporting documents. Support reconciliations, month-end accounting processes, and financial reporting activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information.
· Keep customer and vendor databases up to date to ensure reliable data across systems.
· Actively build knowledge and skills, and where possible, contribute ideas that help improve processes and efficiency within the Finance function.
· Assist with other finance tasks as they arise and fall within the scope of the role.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
· Previous experience as a Finance Assistant or in a similar role.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with QuickBooks is an added advantage.
· Strong knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
· Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
· A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to prioritize tasks.
