African Science Academy is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking and experienced teachers for a job opening. The ideal candidate will help design the school curriculum and provide information for the writing of references. As follows are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Responsibilities

·       The candidate will plan and prepare lessons carefully

·       The candidate will be responsible for making sure that preps. Are set regularly and they are promptly and thoroughly marked

·       The candidate must ensure that the curriculum promotes the vision and aims of the school

·       The candidate will be responsible for managing and organizing relevant groupings of students to ensure effective teaching and learning takes

·       The candidate must ensure the curriculum takes into account the rich and diversity of the school’s community

·       The candidate will provide information for writing references

·       The candidate must ensure that they are aware of and understand the marking procedures and details on assessment and record-keeping

·       The candidate will communicate and cooperate with other staff; attend staff meetings as and when called; Attend pre-term meetings or induction

·       The candidate must support all activities within the School, including extra-curricular activities

·       The candidate must maintain good discipline within the classroom, the School and its facilities by carrying out the school policy on: punctuality, respect for others, manners, appearance

Qualification

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Engineering or a related discipline from a reputable university

·       Good written and verbal English Language communication skills

·       Proven teaching experience in the secondary school sector

·       Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills
