Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative IT Coordinator to join our growing technology team in Accra, Ghana. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our IT operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day technology support and coordination across the organization. You'll work closely with both technical teams and end-users, providing efficient solutions and maintaining our IT infrastructure with precision and professionalism.
i. Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues
ii. Manage and track IT support requests using ticketing systems, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up
iii. Coordinate IT equipment procurement, inventory management, and asset tracking
iv. Assist with user onboarding by setting up accounts, configuring systems, and providing technical orientation
v. Monitor and maintain IT systems, ensuring optimal performance and security compliance
vi. Document IT processes, procedures, and solutions to support knowledge sharing across the organization
vii. Coordinate with IT vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and manage service agreements
viii. Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups to ensure data integrity
ix. Support the implementation of IT policies and security best practices across the organization
x. Maintain organized records of IT incidents, resolutions, and system configurations
xi. Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements
xii. Respond to user inquiries with empathy and clear communication, ensuring customer satisfaction
Qualifications
i. Proven experience in IT support, help desk operations, or similar technical coordination role
ii. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
iii. Excellent attention to detail and analytical mindset for troubleshooting technical issues
iv. Solid understanding of IT systems, hardware, software, and basic networking concepts
v. Proficiency with ticketing systems and IT asset management tools
vi. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for supporting diverse user groups
vii. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
viii. Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying solutions
ix. Familiarity with IT security best practices and data protection principles
x. Comfortable with desk-based work while remaining flexible to support operational needs
xi. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
xii. Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
xiii. Preferred: IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Associate, or equivalent
xiv. Preferred: Experience with Windows and/or Mac operating systems administration
xv. Preferred: Knowledge of cloud-based services and virtualization technologies
