Job Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will drive business growth by identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and executing sales strategies. The ideal candidate will conduct market research, generate leads, and negotiate contracts to expand revenue. This role requires strong networking, strategic planning, and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of the business development and sales units to meet desired requirements (including supervising daily operational activities of assigned teams).
In consultation with the executive management team, develop strategic, operational, and tactical business development plans for the company and ensure successful implementation.
Research on various business projects and make appropriate recommendations to executive management on project viability.
Develop business proposals, market entry strategies and implementation and sustainability strategies for new business ventures.
Build and maintain a corporate brand for the company, including managing all external communication channels.
Develop, manage and regularly update all marketing content of the company and its affiliates.
Monitor and report on the performance of various business development initiatives for the company and its affiliates.
Full ownership of operational expenditure and delivery of financial targets (sales, profits, etc.) for the business development and sales units.
Prepare quarterly budgets, including six months of revenue rolling forecasts for the company.
Develop improvement plans and make recommendations for future business opportunities.
Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure corporate goals are achieved.
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. A Master’s degree or Certification (e.g. PMP, CIM, etc.) is an advantage.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Business Development Manager
Prior experience in Marketing, Finance, or related field is an added advantage.
