Inngen is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking, and experienced individuals for the position of an Oracle Database Administrator. The successful candidate will create, modify, and drop users. The successful candidate should have strong knowledge of Database (Oracle/MYSQL) and Linux (RHEL) Technologies. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;
Responsibilities
i. The candidate will create, modify, and drop users.
ii. The candidate will be responsible for database and alert monitoring and mitigation using tools like SCOM, OEM & Zabbix.
iii. The candidate will be responsible for database and server management in stand-alone and cluster (RAC) environments.
iv. Database and server start/stop and parameter configuration
v. The candidate will be responsible for storage management at the server and database levels. Add/mount/unmount disks at ASM systems
vi. Oracle Database export/import using Data Pump. Backup/recovery using RMAN
vii. MSSQL database refresh, backup, and restore. Killing the blocking session
viii. Linux administration tasks including permission and user management, filesystem management – add/resize files, and add disks
ix. Linux administration tasks, including root password reset, editing configuration files
x. Coordination with internal/external teams to resolve special tickets within Oracle, Microsoft, and Red Hat systems
Qualification
i. Bachelor’s degree(or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or a related field
ii. 2+ years of experience in database/Linux administration or a similar role
iii. Strong knowledge of Database (Oracle/MSSQL) and Linux (RHEL) Technologies
iv. Basic understanding of ticketing systems and how to manage incidents, tasks, and change
v. Excellent working ethics with strong teamwork skills
vi. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
vii. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
