Ingen seeks the services of qualified and hardworking individuals for the System Administrator position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and dropping users at Windows servers as and when the need arises. The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. As follows are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Responsibilities

·       The candidate will be responsible for user management; creating and dropping users at Windows servers.

·       The candidate will be responsible for activating directory user management, configuring MFA, resource and group management.

·       The candidate will be responsible for starting/shutting down/rebooting physical servers and VMs, running in standalone and cluster and setup.

·       The candidate will be responsible for alert management-checking and mitigating alerts using tools like SCOM.

·       The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the installation, configuration and maintenance of Windows-based machines.

·       The candidate will be responsible for applying security fixes and patches example SPP.

·       The candidate will be responsible for backing up/ restoring files and VMs

·       The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with internal and external teams and vendors e.g. HP. Hitachi, Microsoft

Qualification

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field

·       2+ years of experience in system administration or a similar role

·       Basic knowledge of Windows systems and technologies, such as SCOM, SCCM, IAM etc.

·       Familiarity with system administration tools, such as Active Directory, Group Policy or PowerShell

·       Basic experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python

·       Good analytical and problem-solving skills

·       Good communication and interpersonal skills
