A reputable company is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking and experienced individuals for the position of a Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining high-performance backend services using Java and the Spring Framework. The ideal candidate will work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable software solutions. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in Java programming, experience with micro services architecture and a passion for building robust systems that driver the business forward. The following are the responsibilities and qualification for the position;

Responsibilities

1.    The candidate will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring.

2.    The candidate will collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to integrate user- facing elements with server-side logic.

3.    The candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining micro services architectures that are scalable, reliable, and efficient.

4.    The candidate will optimize application performance, focusing on speed and scalability.

5.    The candidate will be responsible for writing clean, maintainable, and testable code, following best practices for software development.

6.    The candidate will be responsible for participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.

7.    The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly, ensuring the stability and reliability of the backend systems.

8.    The candidate must stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our systems.

Qualification

1.    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

2.    3+ years of experience in backend development, with a focus on Java.

3.    Proficiency in Java programming and the Spring Framework.

4.    Experience with RESTful services, SQL databases, and micro services architecture.

5.    Strong understanding of version control systems like Git.

6.    Experience with unit testing and test-driven development.

7.    Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.

8.    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

 Skills

1.    Java Programming: Expert-level knowledge in Java and its application in backend development.

2.    Spring Framework: Proficient in Spring, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data.

3.    RESTful Services: Skilled in designing and implementing robust RESTful APIs.

4.    SQL: Proficient in SQL and relational database management.

5.    Micro services: Experience with micro services, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
