We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our team. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems within the organization. The ideal candidate will have good problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for technology.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.
· Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently
· Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications
· Maintain accurate records of IT support requests and resolutions using the ticketing system
· Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical problems.
· Perform basic hardware repairs on devices within the environment
· Maintain documentation on troubleshooting guides
Qualification
· A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, Information and Communication Technology or a related discipline.
· Proven knowledge in an IT support or help desk role.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and MacOS operating systems.
· Knowledge in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and remote support tools
· Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
· Any IT professional certifications (A+, CCNA, etc) will also be an advantage
Experience And Skills
Three years of comparable work experience.
· Candidates must be highly analytical and effectively able to troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements, and other issues.
· Must have good communication, problem-solving, analytical skills and interpersonal abilities.
· Must be able to work with little supervision and manage multiple tasks effectively.
· Candidate should be able to write technical specifications and reports and work in a team.
· Because of the constant developing nature of information systems, officers must be committed to continuous learning and system development.
