PWC, a state-owned enterprise established to manage and invest revenues derived from the nation's resources. Its goal is to ensure long-term economic stability and value creation by channeling income into strategic investments, infrastructure development, and wealth preservation for future generations. On behalf of our client, we now invite applications from experienced professionals to fill the vacancy for the position of Finance Manager. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Deputy Finance Manager would be responsible for supporting the Finance Manager in managing the financial operations of the organisation. The ideal candidate will develop and implement administrative policies, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s strategic objectives. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Job Responsibilities

          i.               The candidate will prepare periodic financial reports for submission to external stakeholders such as the Ministry of Finance, the Auditor-General, and other relevant bodies.

        ii.               The candidate must ensure financial activities are in compliance with the organisation's policies, relevant legislation, and public financial management regulations.

     iii.               The candidate will assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IPSAS and applicable standards.

     iv.               The candidate must ensure the timely reconciliation of bank accounts, receivables, and payables.

        v.               The candidate will monitor budget implementation and highlight variances to the Finance Manager.

Education, Professional Qualifications, and Experience Required

          i.               Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

        ii.               Must be a lawyer and a member of the Ghana Bar Association in good standing

     iii.               Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

     iv.               A relevant professional certification, such as ICA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA, is required.

        v.               Demonstrated experience in legal advisory roles within investment, finance, public institutions, or extractive sectors.

     vi.               Standards (IPSAS) are preferred.
