Location: Hybrid work model;
Boundary Road, Accra, 27 Ama Akroma Street, Takoradi, Oasis of Love, Kumasi, Ghana, Kigali, Rwanda
Working Hours: 40 hours/week
Salary: Commensurate with qualification and experience
Job Description
AmaliTech is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Python Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in software development, with a focus on building and maintaining robust data pipelines and scalable solutions. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design and implement critical features, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and optimise scalable Python applications.
• Collaborate with teams to design, build, and manage data pipelines and workflows.
• Implement and maintain integrations with object storage solutions.
• Develop and consume REST APIs for seamless integration.
• Utilise GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and deploy applications on Kubernetes.
• Design and orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow.
• Work with Microsoft architecture to integrate and enhance data pipelines.
• Contribute to system performance tuning and ensure scalability.
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Python development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must-Have Skills and Experience:
1. Strong proficiency in Python programming.
2. Hands-on experience with GitLab.
3. Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration.
4. Expertise in working with object storage systems.
5. Proven experience in developing and consuming REST APIs.
6. Practical knowledge of Apache Airflow for workflow automation.
7. Familiarity with building and managing data pipelines.
8. Experience with Microsoft architecture for enterprise solutions.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
1. Familiarity with Victoria Metrics or similar monitoring tools.
2. Understanding of modern metrics and observability solutions.
3. Exposure to cloud-based infrastructure and services.
