A Reputable Company seeks the services of qualified, hardworking, and passionate individuals for the IT Support Officer position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering all databases, networking, and systems. The ideal candidate will set up administer, and configure backup solutions. As follows are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Responsibilities

·       The candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of host computers by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair.

·       The candidate must ensure that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained.

·       The candidate will apply revisions to the host system firmware and software.

·       The candidate will work with vendors to assist in support activities

·       The candidate will be responsible for performing troubleshoots as required and working directly with IT personnel and business teams to resolve issues identified

·       The candidate will be responsible for managing the data center and computer host systems including hardware, software, and equipment such as air-conditions system

·       The candidate will be responsible for the configuration and support of VLAN, VPN, and remote access technologies

·       The candidate will configure and maintain CCTV infrastructure

Qualification

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or other related field

·       Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Technical field

·       At least 3 years of hands-on experience in managing large databases, SQL server system administration in complex systems design, programming, and systems software and support

·       Experience in HBase and SQL running on Linux and Windows platforms will be an added advantage.

·       Attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to research and apply problem-solving skills

·       Excellent communication, customer focus, and interpersonal relations skills

·       Knowledge of Banking business operations is preferred

·       Ability to plan organize and document complex system design activities
