Presbyterian University, Ghana invites applicants for appointment to an Accountant position in the finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for projecting annual revenue and organizing budget hearings. As follows are the responsibilities and qualification for the position;

Responsibilities

·       The candidate will be responsible for the projection of annual revenue

·       The candidate will organize budget hearings

·       The candidate will be responsible for the calculation, allocation and communication of budget ceiling to cost centres and draw attention to actual and potential significant variances.

·       The candidate will receive and consolidate cost centre budgets into University-wide annual budgets.

·       The candidate will be responsible for monitoring actual spending against budgets by the cost centres and drawing attention to actual and potential significant variances.

·       The candidate will liaise with tax authorities on tax matters

·       The candidate will be responsible for cash flow projections and monitoring for management decision-making

·       The candidate will be responsible for supervising students’ accounts and store units

Qualification

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

·       A Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance would be an advantage

·       Fully qualified accountant (ICA Ghana, ACCA or other internationally recognised Accounting Professional Bodies)

·       At least one(1) year post-qualification experience preferably in a Tertiary institution

·       Proficiency in Accounting Software will be an added advantage
