AlevaChildCare seeks the services of qualified, passionate, and hardworking individuals for the position of Preschool Head Teacher. The ideal candidate will design and implement engaging and stimulating teaching activities. As follows are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Responsibilities

·       The candidate will design and implement engaging and stimulating teaching activities.

·       The candidate will create and apply suitable teaching material

·       The candidate will provide basic care and caregiving services including feeding, diapering, toileting, dressing, and administering medication

·       The candidate will be responsible for using a wide range of teaching methods including stories, media, indoor and outdoor play, art, etc to enhance children’s abilities

·       The candidate must evaluate children’s engagement and performance to make sure they are on the right learning track

·       The candidate will be responsible for observing children’s interactions, identifying patterns of behavior, and determining the right course of action if necessary

·       The candidate will train and supervise childcare assistants, evaluate performance, monitor staff interaction with children, and resolve any complaints from staff or parents

Qualification

·       At least 3 years of proven work experience as a Child Care Practitioner

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education is an added advantage

·       Knowledge and experience in Montessori materials and techniques

·       First aid certificate

·       Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Good coordination and interpersonal skills

·       Passion for children is demonstrated through patience, flexibility, and love for children.

·       Attention to detail

·       Strong organizational and time management skills
