We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to design, implement, maintain, and secure our servers and user applications. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal server performance, troubleshoot issues, manager user authentication, and support user integrity across multiple platforms and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

·       Install and configure server hardware and operating systems on the servers as well as user computers.

·       Manage computers and servers running on the Windows and Linux operating systems within the environment.

·       Monitor and maintain GIMPA's ERP System and other application servers, granting access and troubleshooting problems and outages.

·       Upgrading systems with new releases and updating with patches.

·       Maintaining backups of all application systems and ensuring the safety of all systems in the data centre.

·       Maintain documentation on all server configurations and troubleshooting guides

Qualification

·       A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, Information and Communication Technology or a related discipline.

·       Knowledge in Linux distributions and Microsoft Server 2016 and above, will be an advantage

·       Professional Certifications in any of the server solutions or IT systems management will also be an advantage.

Experience And Skills

·       Three years of comparable work experience.

·       Candidates must be highly analytical and effectively able to troubleshoot and prioritize needs, require- ments and other issues.

·       Must have good communication, problem-solving, analytical skills and interpersonal abilities.

·       Must be able to work with little supervision and manage multiple tasks effectively.

·       Candidate should be able to write technical specifications and reports and work in a team.

·       Because of the constant developing nature of information systems, officers must be committed to continuous learning and system development.
