We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to design, implement, maintain, and secure our database systems. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal database performance, troubleshoot issues, and support data integrity across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

·       Install, configure, and upgrade database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.

·       Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply patches and updates.

·       Optimize database queries and indexing to improve efficiency.

·       Develop, test, and implement backup and recovery plans.

·       Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring high availability

Qualification

·       A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, Information and Communication Technology, or a related discipline.

·       Proficiency in database optimization, indexing, and stored procedures as well as the Standard Query Language.

·       Knowledge with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, etc is a plus

·       Professional Certifications in any of the database systems will also be an advantage.

Experience And Skills

·       Three years of comparable work experience.

·       Candidates must be highly analytical and effectively able to troubleshoot and prioritize needs, requirements and other issues.

·       Must have good communication, problem-solving, analytical skills and interpersonal abilities.

·       Must be able to work with little supervision and manage multiple tasks effectively.

·       Candidate should be able to write technical specifications and reports and work in a team.

·       Because of the constant developing nature of information systems, officers must be committed to continuous learning and system development.
