Nguvu is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking, and experienced individuals for the position of a Project Manager. The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to specified standards. The PM will oversee scope, resource allocation, and risk management while serving as the key liaison between stakeholders. The following are  the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;

Responsibilities/Key Objectives

       i.          Lead the planning and execution of mining projects (e.g., mine development, expansion, processing plants, infrastructure)

     ii.          Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation frameworks.

    iii.          Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques; implement corrective actions where necessary

   iv.          Manage contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure quality delivery and cost efficiency

     v.          Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.

   vi.          Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, & environmental standards across all project phases

  vii.          Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting obligations

viii.          Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency within project execution

   ix.          Ensure community relations and stakeholder engagement are manage effectively.

Requirements of the Job

       i.          The minimum qualifications, skills, knowledge, experience, and behavioural attributes are required to perform the job competently.

Minimum qualification/s Experience

       i.          BSc in Civil Engineering plus Mechanical Engineering knowledge with Project Management accreditation and or certifications.

     ii.          Proficiency in Project Management Software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD), with a strong understanding of engineering principles.

    iii.          Postgraduate work experience of 12yrs in Civil, Earthworks, Construction, Quantity Survey (estimation), Site Survey works, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering aspects of mining development projects.

Technical competencies

       i.          Ability to communicate effectively in both French and English

     ii.          Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information

    iii.          Strong leadership and team collaboration skills

   iv.          Ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically to solve complex problems.

     v.          Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Skills and Experience

       i.          Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

     ii.          Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

    iii.          Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

   iv.          Effective communication and negotiation skills

     v.          Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Business Behaviors
