Petrosol is seeking the services of a qualified, hardworking, and experienced individual for the position of Accounts Officer. The successful candidate shall be responsible for a comprehensive range of accounting services, including assisting and providing support on Accounts Receivable, Daily Cash Reporting, Credit Management, Customer Reconciliation, and other Clerical and Administrative duties. The ideal candidate must have computer literacy skills. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position;
Responsibilities
i. Shall lead by modelling the company’s values and acting as an exemplary brand ambassador so as to inspire others and to live the values and hold them accountable if they do not.

iii. Shall compile, verify, and submit a report on the daily cash lodgments made by all the stations in the assigned territory
iv. Shall conduct periodic stock count in collaboration with the retail audit to ascertain lubricant inventory levels of stations in the assigned territory
v. Shall compile a database of the approved credit limits of all stations and DODO customers in the assigned territory, to ensure that all liftings and payments have been accounted for and properly posted
vi. Shall compile a database of all credit customers of the various stations in the assigned territory, who pay directly into PETROSOL’s bank account.
vii. Shall ensure that all reconciliation issues identified are resolved promptly and the ledgers are updated. In this regard, you will be expected to work closely with the accounts receivable officer.
viii. Shall compile, verify, and submit once a week, payments made by respective stations in respect of lubricant sales
ix. Shall send monthly statements to all customers in the assigned territory at the end of every month. This will be for both the product account and the loan account
x. Shall monitor customer account details for non-payment, delayed payments, and other irregularities
xi. Shall perform administrative and clerical tasks such as the proper filing of paperwork and the submission of receipts/supporting documents to the Head Officer
Qualification
i. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
ii. 1-2 years of general accounting experience
iii. Computer literacy skills
iv. Knowledge of basic accounting practices and bookkeeping
v. Good verbal and written communication skills
vi. Ability to work as part of a team and handle changes in the work environment and operational requirements
vii. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
viii. Must possess a friendly, positive, and professional attitude in dealing with clients and co-workers
ix. Must be a person of high integrity and exhibit a high sense of confidentiality
x. Must be a proactive and results-oriented person
xi. Must be willing to go the extra mile

Working Conditions
i. The role requires working irregular hours, including weekends and holidays
