OBJECTIVE: The IT Manager will be responsible for leading all day-to-day operations of the Information Technology (IT) function and will be responsible for managing the company’s IT operations (infrastructure, networks, security, hardware/software, programming, etc.) as well as driving company-wide optimization initiatives through identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks in processes and procedures, and deploying the right technologies.
This role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in project management and process improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT)
Technology Strategy & Optimization Initiatives:
- Identify opportunities for optimizing IT processes and systems.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve system performance, reliability, and security.
- Plan and oversee IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Collaborate with senior management to identify and prioritize IT needs.
- Implement best practices for IT operations and continuous improvement.
Security & Compliance:
- Develop and implement IT security policies, protocols, and procedures to protect company data and systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
Innovation & Research:
- Stay current with technological trends and advancements, evaluating their potential impact on the company.
- Foster an environment of innovation and research, encouraging the exploration of new ideas and technologies.
Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and systems.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Manage hardware and software procurement and lifecycle management.
Project Management:
- Manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and report on project status to senior management.
- Oversee the management of vendors and external service providers.
Support & Maintenance:
- Oversee the provision of technical support to staff, ensuring timely resolution of IT issues.
- Oversee and improve the IT helpdesk and ensure high levels of user satisfaction.
- Monitor system performance and address any issues proactively.
PROCUREMENT & LOGISTICS
- Manage all Purchase and Service Order Agreements relating to the IT function.
FINANCE & COMPLIANCE
- Prepare monthly budget of the IT Department. Ensure the budget is in line with the department’s scheduled activities.
- Follow-up with the Finance and Supply Chain departments on the release of funds for approved expenses.
ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Supervise the team to execute assigned projects within deadlines and budget.
- Develop and implement necessary measures to ensure flexible work practice and team building.
- Carry out performance appraisals and development plans (including training) with subordinate staff.
- Implement training and development program for staff in line with technical and business needs.
- Coordinate the rotational schedule (on and off duty) of subordinate staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related field is mandatory.
- Master's degree in Business is mandatory.
- Multicultural experience is mandatory.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.
- Proficiency in French is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience in IT Management, with a focus on optimization, process improvement, integration, and software migration.
- Proven experience managing large-scale IT projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, databases, and software development lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
- Experience with cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data management is highly desirable.
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or CISSP are a plus.
