The West African Examination Council is seeking the services of qualified, hardworking, and experienced individuals for the position of Legal Officer II. Successful candidates undertake due diligence compliance tasks aligned with and conduct legal research on matters required. The following are the relevant responsibilities and qualifications for the position;
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will report to the Head, Legal Department and will be
required to perform the following duties among others:
· Undertake due diligence compliance tasks assigned.
· Conduct legal research on matters required.
· Ensure conformity with statutory government practices.
· Provide advisory services on legal matters.
· Assist in the development of guidelines, policies, and procedures.
· Perform legal vetting of documents and commercial contracts.
· Conduct risk analysis and mitigation.
· Represent the Council in court and before quasi-judicial bodies.
Qualifications and Experience
· Possess a minimum of a Bachelor of Law degree from a recognised
University.
· Be a member of the Ghana Bar Association
· Have at least three years of relevant post-call experience
