Focus 1 Media is looking for dedicated individuals to join the team. The successful candidate will manage, coordinate, and control the operation of relevant general ledger accounts. The following are the responsibilities and qualifications for the position.

Key Responsibilities

       i.          To manage, coordinate, and control the operation of relevant General Ledger accounts.

     ii.          To oversee the improvement and monitoring of financial systems, risk identification and management, standard controls, and audits.

    iii.          Respond to queries from the auditors and ensure implementation of audit recommendations.

   iv.          Asset and Liability management, which includes proper planning, design, and implementation measures to protect and maintain assets, preparation of monthly schedules and reports on asset and liability captions.

     v.          Monitor and ensure adequate control over financial administration, expenditure, and asset management across all divisions.

   vi.          Ensure the best utilisation of existing Software for financial activities across all divisions.

  vii.          Provide top-class customer service for all internal and external clients.

viii.          Prepare, manage, and track the performance of the approved annual budget of all Units.

   ix.          Process payroll for all Units.

     x.          Review the monthly financial and budget reports.

   xi.          Ensure all periodic reports are produced accurately on time, and in accordance with the corporate policies and accounting policies.

  xii.          Plan, Control & Supervise the activities of subordinates, ensuring adherence to Corporate Policies.

xiii.          Liaise with various government institutions - Ghana Revenue Authority, and handle issues arising and compliance with the required legislation.

xiv.          Ensure timely and prompt filing of statutory returns of all Units with various Government Agencies.

 xv.          Develop short and long-term strategies for the finance department.

Requirements

       i.          Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

     ii.          Professional certifications like ACCA, CA, or MBA (optional) 5-10 years of experience in accounting or finance

    iii.          Strong analytical and numerical skills

   iv.          Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
