Job summary

The Marketing and Communications Associate plays a key role in supporting the creation and implementation of marketing strategies, campaigns, and communication efforts that drive brand awareness and engage our target audiences. Your responsibilities will include content creation, social media management, assisting with digital and traditional marketing initiatives, and supporting both internal and external communications to ensure a unified message. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help elevate the brand's visibility, foster relationships, and contribute to the organization’s continued growth and success.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

Communication Strategy

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies across digital and traditional platforms.
  2. Manage external communications, including press releases, media engagements, and partnerships.

Digital Marketing

  1. Oversee campaigns (paid & organic) and ensure optimal performance and reporting.
  2. Create and manage Affinity’s content calendar, aligning with broader marketing objectives and campaign goals.

Content Creation & Management

  1. Spearhead social media content conceptualization and creation, supervise internal and external teams where relevant to ensure high-quality output.
  2. Coordinate with external agencies when necessary for content production and campaign execution.

Brand Management

  1.  Ensure consistent messaging and adherence to brand guidelines across all platforms.
  2. Develop strategies to increase brand awareness and customer engagement.

Performance and Management

  1.  Develop KPIs and track campaign performance through dashboards and reports, monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns (e.g., website traffic, engagement rates).
  2. Interpret insights to optimize content and marketing strategies to improve marketing ROI for better customer acquisition and retention.

Performance Tracking and Analytics

  1. Monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns (e.g., website traffic, engagement rates).
  2.  Utilize insights to optimize content and marketing strategies for better customer acquisition and retention.

Stakeholder Engagement

  1. Work with internal teams (Sales, Customer Experience, etc.) to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
  2. Foster relationships with media outlets and other external stakeholders to boost visibility.

Budgeting and Planning

  1. Assist with managing marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum ROI.
  2. Plan and execute on key marketing events (product launches, webinars, activations, etc.).

Requirements

Key skills and requirements

Technical and Digital Skills

  1.  Strong understanding of digital marketing analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, etc.).
  2. Experience managing multi-channel campaigns (paid media, organic, influencer, and partnerships).
  3. Familiarity with SEO/SEM strategies and how they influence content performance.
  4. Advanced knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) and/or experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  5.  Experience using CRM or marketing automation platforms to drive engagement and measure results.
  6. Data-driven mindset, comfortable interpreting insights to improve marketing ROI and customer engagement.

Strategic and Creative Capabilities

  1.  Proven ability to translate business goals into clear marketing strategies and measurable campaigns.
  2. Strong storytelling skills with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and platforms.
  3. Experience supporting brand or product launches and campaign planning within fintech or consumer finance.

Soft Skills and Collaboration

  1. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Customer Experience teams.
  4. A proactive, attention-to-detail, self-motivated mindset and passion for innovative, customer-focused marketing.

Education and professional training

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication Design, PR, Communications or a related field.
  2. Any relevant Digital Marketing, Creative & Design Certifications (Added Advantage).
  3. 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role.
