The mission of the KGL Foundation Scholarship is to provide, through the award of scholarships and other educational program development, recognition of assistance, and encouragement of students with outstanding potential for long-range contribution to the development of our society.

BENEFICIARY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

       i.          Have been admitted to an academic program at Lancaster University, Ghana

     ii.          Show a strong commitment to pursuing higher education and achieving academic goals

    iii.          Submit personal statements or essays demonstrating motivation and dedication

   iv.          Exhibit potential for making positive contributions to the community within the institution

     v.          Highlight previous community involvement, leadership experience, or extracurricular activities

   vi.          Agree to abide by the Institution’s policies, rules, and regulations if awarded a scholarship

  vii.          Be willing to adhere to principles of non-discrimination and equal opportunity, as this scheme welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds;

STUDENTS APPLYING FOR REFUGEE SCHOLARSHIPS MUST:

       i.          Hold Official Refugee Status as recognized by relevant international or national authorities

     ii.          Provide documentation of refugee status

    iii.          Students Applying for Special Needs Scholarships Must:

   iv.          Have documented special needs that significantly impact their ability to pursue higher education

     v.          Must submit medical or educational assessments verifying the nature and extent of special needs

STUDENTS APPLYING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS FOR BRILLIANT BUT NEEDY STUDENTS MUST:

       i.          Provide evidence of exceptional academic performance from high school results;

     ii.          Demonstrate financial need, especially if lacking access to other forms of financial assistance

    iii.          Submit financial documentation or statement to assess need;

   iv.          Students applying for the female STEM scholarship must:

     v.          Be a female high school graduate

   vi.          Have gained admission to pursue a STEM programme

  vii.          Meet any of the criteria of being brilliant but needy, a refugee, or a special needs student
